01
Who these terms apply to
Signature Cookies is a trading name of Alex Bingleton, sole trader. These terms apply when a consumer or business discusses and buys personalised cookie products from Signature Cookies. The website provides inspiration and an enquiry route; payment is arranged only after the order details are agreed on WhatsApp.
Business address and pre-arranged collection point:
12–13 Vyse Street
Birmingham
West Midlands
B18 6LE
Email: hello@signaturecookies.co.uk
Collection is available by prior arrangement only. This address is not operated as a general walk-in retail store.
02
Enquiries, quotations and confirmed orders
A WhatsApp message is an enquiry, not a confirmed order. We will discuss the design direction, wording, quantity, required date, price and delivery or collection arrangement.
An order becomes binding only when Signature Cookies has confirmed the agreed details and received the full amount due in cleared funds. Availability is not reserved by an unpaid enquiry.
03
Personalised and handmade products
Cookies are handmade and small differences in colour, placement, finish and detail are part of that process. Website and Instagram imagery may be used as inspiration, but an exact recreation is not promised.
Standard wording personalisation includes suitable names, ages, dates or short messages supported by the chosen design. More complex artwork, colour matching, multiple designs, individual guest names or other bespoke changes may carry an additional charge, confirmed before payment.
04
Your wording and order information
You are responsible for checking spelling, names, dates, quantities, delivery details and other information before confirming the order. We may ask you to approve wording or a design direction. Changes requested after approval may be unavailable or chargeable if work has begun.
Do not send unnecessary sensitive information. Tell us about any food allergy or intolerance before the order is confirmed so the current information relevant to the proposed order can be provided and discussed. See Food and Allergen Information.
05
Prices and payment
Published package prices apply to the stated standard package. Delivery starts from £5.95. The final total, including any delivery charge and approved bespoke work, is confirmed before payment. Signature Cookies is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT.
Full payment is required in advance by payment link or bank transfer. An order is confirmed only after full payment, including any delivery charge, has been received. If a price is clearly incorrect because of an obvious error, we may correct it before accepting payment or offer to cancel and refund an affected payment.
06
Availability and production timing
Please allow approximately 3–5 days. This is planning guidance, not a guarantee. Design complexity, quantity, event orders and availability can require more time. Tell us the required date before payment.
Where a date is essential, it must be expressly agreed as part of the confirmed order. Events and larger corporate orders should be discussed as early as possible.
07
Delivery and Birmingham collection
Nationwide UK delivery is available. You are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details. Courier delays or failed delivery attempts outside our reasonable control will be handled fairly, but we cannot promise a service that has not been expressly agreed.
Collection available from our kitchen in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Order and arrange your collection with us on WhatsApp. Collection times and instructions are agreed privately; there is no public walk-in shop.
08
Cancellations and personalised goods
Statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights may not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised. Because work and materials may be committed after confirmation, contact us immediately if plans change.
Any cancellation charge or retained amount will reflect work completed, materials committed and losses that cannot reasonably be avoided. Nothing here removes rights relating to goods that are faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
09
Damaged, incorrect or non-conforming orders
Check the order as soon as reasonably possible. If it arrives damaged, incorrect or materially different from what was agreed, contact Signature Cookies promptly with the order details and clear photographs where practical.
We will assess the issue and provide the remedy required by law, which may include replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not restricted.
10
Design references and intellectual property
Website, photography, branding and original design work remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Sharing an image does not transfer ownership or guarantee an exact copy.
You must have permission to supply logos, artwork or other protected material. We may refuse a request that appears unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory, infringing or unsuitable for production.
11
Corporate and event orders
Corporate, branded, multi-address and larger event orders are quote-led. The quotation may include artwork setup, packaging, delivery planning, staged payment or other order-specific terms. Where an organisation buys wholly for business purposes, consumer-only rights may not apply.
12
Website use and reasonable control
Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code or copy protected material unlawfully. We may update product presentation, prices or these terms, but the version agreed for an existing confirmed order remains relevant to that order.
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by circumstances outside reasonable control, but the affected party should communicate promptly and take reasonable steps to reduce the impact.
13
Governing law and statutory rights
These terms are governed by the law applicable in England and Wales, without removing any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear a dispute.
Sources informing this launch framework include the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and GOV.UK distance-selling guidance. This framework is not individual legal advice.
